Tournaments played: 8
Finished in the Money: 1
Win/Loss: $-27.00
Ring Sessions: 5
Winning Sessions: 1
Win/Loss: $-62.35 (If we take out the $40 I donked off at a limit I had no business at, it drops to $22.35)
I’m not too happy with the results, but with the tournament situation, that can be fixed by finishing in the loot just a few times.
Ring games are a different matter. Now, if I completely ignore the $40 from two limits up from where I usually play, I can make a comeback.
Side Note: I think its terribly funny that I’m complaining about losses so small. When I read some other bloggers, they are talking about losing thousands in one session, or hundreds over a weekend. So for some of you, I’m pretty sure you are laughing your asses off. I still consider myself in elementary school when it comes to poker. So I’m not the cool high schooler or college kids that some of you are.
Update: upon futher review, 4 of the 7 SnG’s where I finished out of the money, I was sucked out with a player who was on a draw to either a flush or straight. One of the SnG’s, I had no reason to be in the pot, I was trying to steal and got caught. I was pot committed. It was a coin flip that I lost. Feh. The other two, I had good odds for nut-flush draws, needing one card after the flop and betting heavy, which was called once with someone who flopped a pair of FIVES, the other time the player had flopped a striaght… can’t be mad about that one!
