I had heard that Titan Poker, part of the iPoker Network, had made a few changes to the plain text password storage in the registry and downloaded and installed Titan Poker again. I created a new account, since I had closed my last one, and then shut down Titan to look at my registry.

Titan’s software is set, by default, to Remember your login. Right out of the box, Titan Poker saved my password, in plain text, into the registry. By default, Titan Poker is not a secure poker room. I also must assume that this is just like the rest of the iPoker Network.

To make matters worse, the welcome email has my password in plain text as well. Since I still have welcome emails from Full Tilt, Paradise, PokerRoom and Party I can say that NONE of those sites emailed me my password in plain text. Shame shame..
