Unsafe Poker Rooms: Fixes
Categories: Poker, SoftwareI had heard that Titan Poker, part of the iPoker Network, had made a few changes to the plain text password storage in the registry and downloaded and installed Titan Poker again. I cleared out my registry for Titan, uninstalled the software and re installed Titan Poker from scratch. I created a new account and then shut down Titan to look at my registry.
Titan’s software now encrypts the for fun password, which was the source of all the trouble. The Real Money password had always been encrypted. See the image below for the registry created by the new client.

Out of the box, Titan Poker is now a secure poker room (at least as far as the registry is concerned). I also must assume that this is just like the rest of the iPoker Network.
