Updated: BoDog Client Reboot Issues..
Categories: PokerSo, I never heard back from support, or the friendly BoDog Host Andy who really wanted me to make a deposit. Sure.. let me deposit loot into a Poker Site that the client reboots my computer when I try to login so I can’t use said loot. Makes perfect sense to me. How about No. It’s been more than 4 days since I fired off my emails to support and Andy with no reply. I think I will stay put at Full Tilt and PokerStars.. where I actually hear back from support and they do not bug me to make a deposit.
Update 2:43pm
I just received an email from BoDog support..

While writing this post, I got the reply, 16 minutes after the first one was sent…
Thank you for contacting Bodog Poker Customer Service.
We are sorry to hear that you are having problems running the poker software. At this time, it appears that it may be an issue with your current version of Windows. We recommend running Windows update to download the latest patches for Windows.
To run the Windows update, you will need to open Internet Explorer and click on “Tools”. Under “Tools”, select “Windows
Update” and run the express method. After you have installed the latest Window updates, we also recommend checking that any security software such as an anti-
virus or firewall is updated. If the problem persists, please feel free to contact customer service by phone for further support.Thank you again for writing. If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Nothing odd about the response… unless you look at my email that I sent off to the to report the issue.
When I try to login to bodog the application hangs for 10-15 seconds before rebooting my computer. This is the only aplication on my system that does this. I’m running windows XP with the latest version all patched, running the latest bodog client. The client window loads fine, but as soon as I enter in my account number, password and click login.. 10 - 15 seconds later my computer reboots. Any ideas?
I guess I could have been a little clearer by stating that I am all up to date with windows. Like I said, no other software on my computer does this. It’s the standard customer service form letter.
I’ll stick with Full Tilt and PokerStars, until they leave and I’m left to Texas Hold’em on my XBox.. Imagine the suckouts I will write about there. Silly AI Donkey call in my all in with 27 to get a runner runner straight flush!

I tried Bodog for the first time last month….I say No Thanks to them. I think their software sucks. It crashed on me during a critical tournament hand…it was a 13+1 buy-in but I was sitting on pocket Q’s! The software reminds me of the free client that ESPN uses for their poker site…..not good. I rediscovered UB again and I am loving it. Of course PokerStars is also still the best.
