I spent much of the weekend playing in micro limit games or freerolls, because that’s what the bankroll says to do. One of the 90 player SnG for $1.25 I did rather well in, but I didn’t expect it to take as long as it did. I got quads twice during that SnG and spent most of the time in the top 12.

But it wasn’t meant to be. I had a soccer game at 1:20 and there were still 26 people left at 12:50 when this hand went down..
There were a few limpers pre flop with a flop of A53 rainbow. I flopped middle pair and it was checked around. The turn brought me two pair with a 2. I bet out hard and I have one caller. The river brings another ace, pairing the board. I think I’m beat, but I have the other guy covered and he doesn’t have much left, so I put him all in. Just as time runs out, he calls and has a set of Aces.
2 pair... damn river

Oh well.. I still have chips, but I still have to get ready for the game. A few hands later I’ve dropped out of the money, but one good double up to have a change to finish in the money. I get KoJack and push… and get two callers. No one has a real hand, but they both have an Ace. I didn’t improve, so I got bounced from the tournament. Happy with the way I played, but I still have much to learn.

Played in a 36 player FPP satellite to the Sunday Million, where I killed. I made it to the final table, second in chips. When we got down to the final three, I was basically tied for the lead, and one player with a small percentage of the chips.
Fianl 3 375 FPP Sat to Sunday Million
Sat to Sunday Million finishI had two clubs and the flop came heart and 2 more clubs. co-chip leader bet the pot and I pushed, he called. He had pocket kings and one of them was a club, taking one of my outs. I didn’t improve and now it was one player with 80% of the chips and 11% and 9% for myself and mkeric1. Within the next few hands, I miss a flush draw, again, and get out kicked with a pair of Aces, finishing third. Who knows what might have happened if I didn”t push, but I do not think I would have played it any differently.

I also took second in a Full Tilt $1 + $0.25 STT.

But the highlight of the weekend was I played in one of the BoDog Gold’s Practice Tournaments, that I spoke about here. I didn’t live blog it like I said I was going to, which is quite a shame. I wish I could play the way I did in this tournament all of the time. I’m not sure why I donk and play cards or make calls that I should not be doing, but this tournament I did pretty well. The hand that tuned the tide when we were heads up, I had AK off suit and the other player has QT, with all of the loot in pre flop, when he called my All In. The flop came 39J, giving my opponant an open ended straight draw and 13 outs, any 8 (4), K (3), Q (3) or T (3), giving him about 28% to win the hand. The turn was a harmless 7 and now he only has a 14% chance of taking the hand, and 85% of the chips. The river brought a King and for a second I thought I had won the tournament, but that King, completed his straight. I got myself back to even with the other player, but eventually lost another big hand to give me an effective M of push monkey. I never recovered, but placed second earning myself a $109 token to the 100k Guarenteed Tournament and a 100% deposit bonus up to $75. Not too bad for a freeroll.

Oh, before I forget, we also won the soccer game, 7 to 3. Would have been fucking cool if the other team had scored one less point. :) But, at least the score was a Canadian Hammer!
