Live Blogging the BoDog 100k Guaranteed Tourney

I’m now 4 minutes away from starting the BoDog 100k tourney. I have checklist of things not to do.

Play cards just to play cards.. I must have a reason to play them
I will not summon the WereDonkey

Small list. I just want to do my best. Currently there are 1,011 players in the tourney.

[1:02 pm] Late registration is still open and there are 1,034 players total and 3 of there are already out.

[1:16 pm] The total number of players stands at 1,034 and we are down to 979 players, no playable hands yet. Saw two flops that I completely missed.

[1:29 pm] first table move, one of the chip leaders is at my table. Time passes..

[1:46 pm] Lost network connectivity for the last 10 minutes… that was fun.

[2:00 pm] Made it to the first break. I’ve seen a grand total of 3 flops, missed all of them. Network issues and wife new cell phone issues haven’t helped. Hopefully now I can just concentrate on the game.

765 players left. M is 13 23.

[2:24 pm] More network issues timed out on a K high flop with AK. That took a sixth if my stack. Not happy.

[2:40 pm] Pocket Jacks late position. I raise 3.5x BB abd I have one player re-raise me and another player re-raises all in after that. I figure I’m toast, so I fold. My initial raiser calls the all in bet and they flip over, 77 (my raiser) and TT (the all in). No one improves. I would have tripled up, but I made the right choice. Next hand I get KK and push, with no callers.

[2:47 pm] I steal the blinds with 88.

[2:51 pm] My AJo holds up against QTd to double me up.. 463 players left.

[2:55 pm] KK takes the blinds..

[3:04 pm] Looks like I’m going to make it passed the second break, with 397 players remaining. When we come back from the break, I will have an M of a little over 5. Push or fold.

[3:08 pm] Start of the second break. There are 389 players left.

[3:18 pm] Took the blinds with AKo, I get a free round. M is still in danger.

[3:20 pm] KK UGT and push. I gets the blinds once again.

[3:25 pm] The Ante’s are here… the Ante’s are here…

[3:31 pm] Pocket Fours hold up and I double up. Boy did I need that..

[3:34 pm] Got the blinds and ante’s once again with TT. 278 players left. M is 11.8.

[3:51 pm] AT vs AJ. We both get and Ace via the flop of AQ6 and the river brings a 6 to split the pot. Lucky me. 209 players left. M needs food, badly.

[3:59 pm] I may not see the next break. 11 minutes to go.. Effective M is 2.

[4:01 pm] UTG with K4c called by the 2 big stacks. No help on the flop, and I lose to AK. This was my mistake of the game. I could have gone one more orbit. 94 places away from the money.
