This past weekend of Poker was.. interesting. First off the AIPS Event #1 I summoned the weredonk and busted out early. It was as if I let my cat play for me, completely miss the flop for the 5th time in a row, lets make a pot sized bet. Oh, you had KQ on a KQ3 board? Oh well. Me? 97o. Yeah.. that bad. At least the buyin was small and I made that up in the limit hold’em tables and a little bit more for my trouble. Which I promptly gave back that night and then some.

The following night was the first WPBT Player of the Year event for 2007. Double Stacks No Limit Holdem. Another HUGE disappointment. Busted out in the first 25% or less. This is the very first WPBT No Limit Hold’em event that I played in, and didn’t get ANY points. The first 10 minutes I was a complete train wreck. I finally snapped out of the weredonk spell, but it was too late, the damage was done. Sometimes I play really well and other times I’m a complete ass. If I want to be a good player, I have to get over this hump, otherwise, this is just a hobby. While poker will never be the the source of bacon for this household, I don’t want it to be just another bill. I think I may be too comfortable. Maybe upping the limits will keep me focused. Maybe walking into a real life Poker Room will do it. We shall see.
