Live Blogging 28k Guarantee on FTP

Ok here we go, it’s the 28k Guarantee. I registered with a token that I won from a 600FTP SnG. Lets see what I can do, shall we?

22:00 - And we’re off.. Double stack Tourney with 1,266 players with the payouts starting at 180.
22:19 - Tournament is 19 minutes in.. nothing special to report. If memory serves me right, there are 4 pros registered; Mandy B table 71, PearlJammed table 50, Lynette Chan table 29 and Adam Schoenfeld table 17.
22:24 - A♠K♥ in middle position gets no action, but as they say, slow and steady.
22:28 - A♠A♣ in BB 3 limpers, I raise 5x BB get 2 callers. Flop is 2♠T♠4♣ and the pot is 800 I raise to 1200 and the EP limper pushes for an additional 465, MP and SB fold, I call. EP flips over 9♣T♦. The Turn is A♥ and the EP player does not improve. I take down a nice pot. I’ve now almost doubled the starting stack. M = Healthy Q = 1.3
22:38 - Missed 10 outs with odds to call. Down to 4690. M = Healthy Q = 1.1
22:45 - Successful Hammer played and shown. M = Healthy Q = 1.1
22:50 - All 4 pros are still in.
22:52 - A♥K♦ in LP and I call a min raise. Mistake #1. Flop is all low cards with 2 hearts, checked around. Turn is another low card, now a straight is possible and a MP player bets 400. I call, mistake #2, and earlier MP folds. We are heads up. River is a J♥ and it’s checked to me, which I check as I do not feel like I have the best hand and that read is correct.. MP had KJ. Down to 4170. M = Healthy Q = 0.8 Moved to table 14.
23:01 - Made the first break. 730 players left sharing spot 397.

23:08 - Blinds are now 60/120. M = 22.8 Q = .8
23:12 - A♥K♥ UTG and make a pot sized bet, 420. MP pushes for 6,665 and I fold. Too weak or just right? I don’t know.
23:14 - K♠K♥ on the button and bet out 1,440. MP pushes and I call. MP shows A♣Q♥ and does not improve. 7220 in chips. M = Healthy Q = 1.2
23:16 - A♥K♥ and bet 420. 1 player to my left calls and we see a two heart flop 9♥8♠8♥. I bet hard on the flop and turn, with the other player calling. We both check the river and he shows A♦9♦. Turn and River are not a heart. Down to 3,840, but still alive. That stung. M = 15 Q = 0.6
23:26 - limp with K♠J♠. Missed the flop of 2♦2♣9♣ and fold to a 1/2 pot bet. M = 14
23:31 - blinds are now 100/200 with 545 players left. M = 10.5
23:34 - folded KQs twice to raises of 3.5xBB. M = 10.2
23:38 - Blinds are 120/240 with 25 ante with 477 players left. M = 4.6 someone throw me a life jacket!
23:42 - Presto, Push and Pray. Everyone folds. w00t. M = 5.4
23:49 - push with K♥J♣ and get called with T♦8♦. Flop a K and double up. M = 8.9
23:58 - Stole the blinds. M = 8.9
00:02 - blinds went up again.. M = 5.5 with 340 players left.
00:07 - Made the second break. 307 players left in spot 269.

00:15 - K♦K♥ in BB. Push with 1 caller with A♥T♦. He flops an open ended straight draw, turns a flush draw, I dodge the outs to double up. 10,510. M = 8.7
00:18 - Steal the blinds with A♦A♥
00:20 - Moved to table 46. 278 players left.
00:21 - 8♦8♠ on the SB raised pot, BB pushes and I call. He has K♠Q♠ and I flop a set. He does not improve. I now have over 20k in chips! For the first time in over an hour my Q is above 1!
00:22 - 2♦2♠ and stole the blind. M = 16.2
00:27 - A♦8♦ in the BB. 4 limpers and I check. The flop is 6♥4♣T♥ and I fold to a raise - re-raise.
00:34 - Blinds are 400/800 ante 100 with 226 players left. M = 8.3
00:40 - A♠Q♦ UTG I bet pot and get called by the BB. The flop comes 3♦T♦K♥ and the BB checks and I bet out 6k. BB folds.
00:43 - I take out a short stack with 7♣3♥ with 2 pair. 190 players left. M = 10.7
00:45 - blinds are 500/1000 ante 125 with 187 players left. M = 8.5
00:48 - We are playing hand for hand.
00:50 - I’m ITM! M = 6
00:53 - Blinds are now 600/1200 Ante 150 with 165 players left. M = 5
00:57 - push with A♦J♦ and steal the blinds. M = 5.4
01:03 - Blinds are 800/1600 ante 200 with 134 players left and I get A♣J♣ on the button. Steal the blinds. M = 5.4
01:09 - JJ on the Button. I push and get called by A♥8♥. He flops an Ace. Can’t win every race. I’m crippled. M = 0 or 2 hands.
01:10 - K4 push with my last 91. Lost to Aces full of Queens. Busted out in 121st place.
