From AIPS ]I[ Event #1.. I’m short stacked an I require a double up. My Pocket Aces get re-raised. I’m doing good. Then.. well you’ll see.. Wasted Aces: The Sequel. In the end, TT vs Ax sucks balls to a xAx flop and I’m out 117/152. Feh. I played two hands crappy in the first level to donk off chips, but I rebuilt to an average stack, then saw nothing playable, except the AA and TT that split and lost. Can’t even say it was fun, frustrating yes.

Maybe I’ll take another stab at the Midnight Madness again, or a SnG.

After donking off my bankroll, because that’s how I roll, I’ve started to build it up ever so slowly. I started with $3.79 and with my limited playing time, I’ve built it up to a tad over $15 by playing in a few $2+0.25 STT. Yes, it would be much easier to just plop in $100, but that’s taking the easy road and I do not learn from just depositing loot. Now I have to work for my bankroll. It’s amazing how much smarter I play when my bankroll is short stacked. A few of the STT’s that I played, when I got the chip lead, I took more risks while and saw more cheap flops and acted in the same random pattern if I had a hand or not. Hopefully I can take the same view when I build up the bankroll and not donk myself back down.

So tonight I’m playing the the highest buy in tournament that I’ve played in weeks, AIPS $5+0.50 Pot Limit Texas Hold’Em. My goal is to not go out first like the last tournament and make the top 20%. Even if I don’t finish in the loot, which would be very nice, if I make top 20% that would rule.
